Katherine Fawcett joins me for a conversation about her new book of short stories, The Swan Suit, which is a wonderful read.
Her stories are a mix of fairy tale, fantasy, irony and wit, unexpected twists and turns and they snap, crackle and zing in sometimes surprising ways. We discuss her writing process, her influences, and her experience self-publishing 2 early books, and then publishing with 2 Canadian traditional publishers, The Little Washer of Sorrows with Thistledown Press, and The Swan Suit with Douglas & McIntyre.
Katherine is from Squamish, British Columbia and when she isn’t writing, she is teaching music. She enjoys the mountains and ocean, skiing at Whistler, and she can’t wait to get back to fiddle and bluegrass jams and rehearsals with the Sea to Sky Orchestra. Join us for a fun conversation!
